"Physiotherapy for my mother in law who is confined to bed"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Physiotherapy

(as a service user),

Physiotherapists have been helping my mother in law to be able to hopefully sit in a wheelchair as she has been confined to bed for over three years. As a retired physiotherapist herself it was nice to hear the physiotherapists chat to my mother in law as another professional physiotherapist and even ask advice of my mother in law on ailments from the gym. It was heart-warming to hear my mother in law engaging with them and the benefits of continuing this progress she has made. Big thanks to Jenny and Nicola.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback.

The community therapy team work hard to ensure they understand each persons unique set of experiences as we know this influences how we can best support each individual with working towards their own personal rehab goals. They will be really happy to hear that this has been such a positive experience for your mother in law.

I wish her well in her continued rehabilitation and will be sure to pass your comments to the team.

Kind regards

Nicola O'Donnell

Dear Alisonn,

Thank you for getting in touch and sharing the lovely interaction you witnessed between your mother-in-law, Jenny and Nicola. As a retired physio herself, she will have great insight into her situation and I’m really happy to hear the team had a lovely rapport with her and put her physio skills to good use.

I passed on your appreciation to Jenny and Nicola and they’re delighted. We are all very pleased to hear she is feeling the benefits of the progress she’s made.

We wish you both all the best. Thanks again.

Therese
