"Compassion and dedication is clear to see"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department University Hospital Monklands / Stroke/Medicine for the Older Adult

(as a service user),

I am a health professional myself but when it happens to you it’s humbling to be reminded of the amazing people who work in health and social care.  I had a stroke last week.

A&E were maxing, I don’t remember waits I just remember the care and attention from nurses and doctors. Tests and scans one after another and everything explained ward 21 was a quick transfer.

Professor Barbour and his team of nurses dr’s and AHP’s - excellence of care - you are all amazing, compassion and dedication is clear to see.

Thank you everyone. I am home and have all the follow up I need to help me on my new journey through recovery. Never underestimate the difference you all make to peoples lives on a daily basis.

Thank you for taking the time to share your lovely feedback to our teams. I will ensure this is shared with both the Emergency care directorate and ward 21, they will be delighted to hear such positive feedback.

I hope you continue to recover well following your stay.
