"A very long and inefficient visit"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

The triage nurse saw us quite quickly and suggested, as this was a head injury, that a CT scan may be needed and the doctor would decide. We then waited 4 hours to see a doctor (even though the department was very quiet and even the triage nurse commented that she didn’t know why the doctor was taking so long) and, sure enough, he decided a CT was needed. After the wait for the scan another intolerable wait to see the doctor again. Feel it was so inefficient and the visit basically took all night and into the next morning.
