About: Ninewells Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I ended up in labour very early and had to be rushed down to labour suite for it to be stopped. The care I received was unbelievable and all the midwives, nurses, health care assistants & students were amazing with us. They went over everything thoroughly and made us feel so welcome and at ease during a scary time. Without the care the staff have given me in Ninewells I don’t think I’d have coped being in for 3 weeks! The staff are all amazing and I am so grateful for every single one of them.

Thank you for taking time to share your story via care opinion.

It is wonderful to hear how our teams made a very scary time easier for you. It is of course stressful when pre-term birth is a threat and/or reality for women/families and I am delighted to hear that your prolonged stay was supported so well across our teams.

I will take great pride in sharing your feedback with the midwives and doctors across our department and please know that this will give them a real positive boost knowing the difference they have made for you. Our teams work really hard to provide reassuring, kind and person centered care every day and they will be delighted to hear this is how their hard work has been received.

We are grateful to you for sharing your feedback. Stories from those using our service help us not only learn from experience but also help us celebrate the parts that are going well. I would like to wish you well for the future and hope this experience has given you and your baby the best start possible.
