My mother in law spent 11 days in ward 43 before passing away and we would like to express our gratitude to each and every one of the doctors, nurses, consultants who looked after her.
She was very ill and even though she was in her 80s and always had good health they told her they would do everything they could for her. This included treatment with oxygen, antibiotics and steroids. Everyone that came into her room to do observations, injection etc treated her with dignity and this was right up until she passed away.
We were at hospital for 24 hours after we got the call to say she was deteriorating and the staff couldn't have been any kinder to us , making sure we had tea , coffee, toast and making us comfortable with chairs and a bed in the room for us to take turns to sleep if we wanted. We will be forever grateful to them all for making a traumatic time for us a lot easier. We didn't catch all of the nurses names but they were all amazing. Special mentions to nurses Jeff, Terri, Emma and Lynsey for all their help and compassion. Also thanks to Doctor Finch, Doctor Curtis, Doctor Cox and Doctors Rafael and Hamish, you are all a credit to NHS Fife.
"The staff couldn't have been any kinder to us"
