"Therapy has given me a better quality of life"

About: Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) / Whiteabbey CMHT

(as a service user),

I recently finished brief intervention therapy with Chris in Oakview House.

I found these sessions very beneficial. Chris was easy to talk to and I felt very comfortable, not only has he taught me a lot about understanding my mental health but he has equipped me with a number of tools to manage my OCD tendencies and encouraged me to challenge myself.

Whilst I still have a long way to go and am being referred on, this brief time I have spent with Chris has given me a better quality of life.

Hi Jo231,

My name is Natalie and I am the locality manager for Larne, Carrick and Newtownabbey community mental health teams.

Thank you for your feedback relating to your experience with the Newtownabbey community mental health team. It is lovely to hear you had a positive experience and you were able to gain skills that I hope are a good stepping stone as you move through your recovery journey.

I wish you all the best in the future and hope that you continue to develop skills that support your mental health.

Kind regards

Natalie
