About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I took my daughter to see Dr. P at Medway for her ongoing ear, nose, and throat issues. This was our first visit, and I was nervous that they might dismiss our concerns and not recommend a tonsillectomy. However, Dr. P exceeded my expectations. He was wonderful with my daughter—engaging, reassuring, and humorous. More importantly, he listened attentively to my concerns about her sleep apnea, chronic sore throat, and overall quality of life, and he empathised with our situation. He agreed immediately that a tonsillectomy was necessary, without any hesitation.

The pre-op appointment was smooth, and they went above and beyond by addressing my concerns about her excessive sleeping and stomach aches, even conducting a blood test that revealed an iron deficiency. On the day of the surgery, the nurses made the entire process seamless and reassuring. The caring environment was evident, with the children involved in every step, keeping us well-informed, and making us feel welcome. This helped my daughter feel happy and secure before her procedure.

This experience has transformed my perception of the NHS and restored my confidence in receiving attentive and high-quality care. Thank you to everyone involved—your dedication ensured that my daughter left the hospital happy and with hope for improved health. The entire process was smooth and inclusive, with no issues at all.
