Arrived half an hour early for hip replacement surgery and waited until 7am appointed time as queue built up to standing room only outside the ward (perhaps make more chairs available in corridors?).
Went through to be seen by nurse, doctor, consultant and anaesthetist and was treated in a friendly, professional and informative way throughout.
A sudden dip in heart rate while having anaesthetic was sorted quickly and slept through procedure. Recovery ward then to Hilton Main Ward where was able to go home the day after following very professional, friendly, assuring support from staff including Blessing, Sunni, Rebecca, Maz, Jay and Shay, Kirsty, Cheryl and many more.
Food was also nicely prepared and enjoyable and what I needed to do with exercise and meds at home explained well with backup printed materials.
Really well done all at a time of great pressure and difficulty.
"Treated in friendly, professional and informative way"
