"Great team"

About: Orthopaedics & Spine Specialist Hospital Site

My experience at the hospital was short but sweet. An over night stay to complete a spinal decompression. To start with, Dr S was one of the most helpful and knowledgeable Drs I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He was clear, to the point and kind. He didn’t sugar coat anything, stating exactly what would need to be done and the risks of it, whilst also remaining optimistic and centred about the whole thing. The rest of the team at the establishment were also an absolute delight, super friendly, helpful and caring (apart from the point I was told I’d be put into ‘the rabbit’ position, that came as a slight surprise! Haha). But honestly couldn’t recommend the place more highly in terms of the way I was treated when there and the effect it has now had on my life post op having no pain. I have been raving about it ever since.

One slight constructive criticism I would make however would be about the after care. Even though I was made absolutely clear from the start that if I had any questions I could ring (which I did and was very helpful), I found the lack of any physio insight into what I was doing post surgery slightly difficult to judge my progress (I,e was what I was doing exercise wise at about week 7/8+ the right thing to be doing am I doing too much/too little etc). Though it didn’t bother me too much as I could ask people at my local gym The Universal Fitness Centre to help me out with some training and exercise plans.
