I attended Monklands Hospital in June 2022, gynaecology department, had a hysteroscopy and was told I needed a hysterectomy and to stop taking my HRT medication till I had the surgery.
Here we are in June 2024 and I’ve still not had my surgery and have been off the medication for 2 years and have been left to suffer all the debilitating symptoms of Menopause and the anxiety and stress of putting my life on hold while awaiting a date.
I was told in Dec 2023 that I would get the surgery in Mar/Apr 2024, maybe later! What is going on, and why have I been waiting so long and been left to suffer? I feel totally let down by the NHS.
I have called my GP with regards to the pain I am, it’s so difficult to even get an appointment to see anyone in person, everything is done over the phone, some days there aren’t any GPs in the surgery, which I think is disgraceful
