Attended the Trauma Assessment Unit at RAH today for an urgent MRI. I cant fault any member of staff here, including the students. The attentiveness and empathy they all showed to myself and other patients didn’t go unnoticed.

From the minute of arriving until I left I was kept fully informed and everything that has to be carried out, was all carried out in a timely manner. The staff including the students are a credit and will be a great asset to the unit.

The SCN was remarkable with communication in introducing himself and putting me as ease within minutes at the unit, ensuring my expectations were realistic. The Dr who reviewed me was equally empathetic and had a great bedside manner. Under the strain of the NHS, this unit still carries their professionalism and good patient care.

I also left behind my jewellery including my engagement ring which I was convinced had been sent to the laundry with the sheets and had me really upset - but the nurse personally gave me a call and ensured it was found and they had it out by for me to collect.

My experience with this unit was remarkable, thank you.
