I had a heart attack a long time ago and had to be moved to assisted housing. One evening, I tried to stand up from my chair but my legs didn’t move, so I fell over. I used my alert and staff called an ambulance for me.
I don’t know what hospital I was admitted to but I had an operation on my spine. I was suggested to have rehab because my mobility and my speech language, so I agreed to come to NRC for rehabilitation. The move to NRC was definitely a good choice.
The support of the staff makes me feel very grateful, I have the freedom to do activities and I have my own room.
