"Parkinson’s nurse services"

About: Enhanced Care / Parkinson's Nurse Service

(as a carer),

Attended an information session on Parkinson’s  Disease presented by the nurses Fiona and Rebekah.

On behalf of my husband and myself (carer) We wish to express our thanks and appreciation to the two Parkinson’s nurses Fiona and Rebekah for the excellent information session, taking time to share their knowledge, provide an understanding of Parkinson’s and  give information on how to manage symptoms. They involved the group and made time to speak to people individually. Also thank you to  their secretary Jacqueline for her help and support with any queries.

This small  Parkinson’s team covers the SHSCT , they do not  have Physio and OT.  I feel that both Physio  and OT would contribute to the team , on an individual basis and in  participating  in  the Parkinson’s information groups . This would be very valuable and provide both service users and their carers with additional support and resources.

Thank you to the Parkinson’s Nurse Service.

Thank you @falconzk94 for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I am delighted to hear you found the Parkinson's Nurse Service- group information session so informative and useful. Group sessions are something the service has been piloting for a while now and it is extremely helpful to hear how our service users find these sessions.

Thank you also for your suggestion around including Physiotherapy and Occupational Health services into these sessions. This is something we would be very keen for and agree these services would be a useful addition to the sessions.

Thank you for your very positive comments about Fiona, Rebekah and Jacqueline. As you will know they work extremely hard to deliver their service and I will ensure I will pass this lovely feedback to them.

Feedback from all our service users is extremely important as it helps shape the future of our services, so thank you again.
