"A pleasant and patient focused experience"

I wanted to highlight the excellent care my 4 year old son has had from the SLT based in East Dunbartonshire. I initially contacted the helpline and spoke through my concerns and was placed on a waiting list for an assessment, I was surprised by how quick this was and had an initial telephone consultation and subsequently received an appointment with Sophie SLT.

We then undertook a block of therapy sessions and Sophie was fantastic, she was accommodating and understood as a parent I worked full time for the NHS and we agreed on appointments that were suitable for us both.

Sophie was patient with my son and made the therapy sessions fun and she was very engaging! So much so my son was sad to finish the sessions. My son's speech has improved but more importantly his confidence with speaking at nursery has grown, so thank you Sophie!

We have been discharged for now but I know if I have further concerns I will be able to re-engage with the service. Thank you for such a pleasant and patient focused experience.
