"Painful arthritis flare up in finger"

About: Community Services / MSK physiotherapy South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as the patient),

I was told to phone 111 by my local surgery as they could not offer me an appointment. The operator from 111 was amazing and got me an appointment at my local walk in centre (she said I needed to be seen within 6 hours as sepsis could set in). To cut a long story short I ended up having to have 3 sessions of physiotherapy.

I had this in Totton. My physiotherapist was called Karolina.

She had helped me immensely. I know my arthritis won’t be cured but she has definitely helped me get more movement in my finger.

Karolina set out simple exercises for me to do along with online information. I felt that she really listened to me an offered lots of information and advice.

She was always on time and I never felt as though she spoke over me or tried to race through my appointments.
