"The care I got was topnotch"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Endoscopy Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Rheumatology (wards 15/28 & 20/21)

(as the patient),

There are two names I will never forget until the day I die. Those names are Dr Wood, and Dr Tindal who as far as i'm concerned saved my life from sepsis. The staff in ward 21 were also amazing but too many names to list them all. But the care I got was top notch.

More recently i've also had an endoscopy and a colonoscopy and I was completely freaking out, but three names I want to highlight as being amazing (didn't get surnames), but Emmanuel, Aju and Kier.

Can you just pass on a message to all of them, say this patient says thank you!

Hi Smithy8611

Thank you for sharing your experience of care and the names of the staff who helped save your life! I'll make sure your feedback is shared on with Dr Wood, and Dr Tindal as well as with staff on ward 21.

Similarly I am really heartened to hear about your positive experience of care when accessing endoscopy care, it can be a frightening time as you mentioned and its fantastic to hear how you were put at ease by Emmanuel, Aju and Kier.

I'll make sure your thank you reaches all of them.

Thank you

Paul

Update posted by Smithy8611 (the patient)

There is one more name I must include, and that's my GP Dr Oates, he's seen me through neurology, cardiology, ear nose & throat, audiology, ophthalmology, radiology, balance clinic, infectious diseases, rheumatology, colonoscopy, endoscopy and has always given me a same day appointment. All of these are within the last 12 months...

He's kind, he's thorough and compassionate, reassuring and explains things start to finish He is definitely one of Glasgow's unsung hero's and absolutely deserves recognition.

Big chuck up for Dr Oates too!
