My sister was involved in an road traffic accident and was subsequently admitted to Craigavon Area Hospital.
She sustained a fractured pelvis (two broken bones). On discharge from hospital, she came to live with me as she was temporarily immobile and required a high level of care.
At this point, I wish to put on record the amazing support provided by both the Occupational and Physiotherapy specialists from Southern Trust who came to visit my sister following her discharge from Hospital. They were most efficient in ensuring that the necessary rehabilitation aids / equipment was quickly delivered / installed. They provided professional guidance and proper usage of some.
On behalf of my sister I particularly want to thank Emma (OT) and Eimear (Physiotherapist) and their support team - Lorraine, Chloe and Sally for all the support given in such a respectful and sensitive manner. They certainly stood by her from the first visit through to the end of her six week recovery period.
She has now gone back to her own home and the intervention provided has enabled her to return to normal activities and undertake daily tasks with a greater degree of independence.
Once again, a big thank you to Emma, Eimear and team members
"Amazing support by specialist teams"
