"Getting an appointment for an Urgent CT scan"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Radiology

(as the patient),

I have a history of abdominal cancer. Recently have had 6 weeks of spasms, severe diarrhoea, weight loss. Blood results show raised markers and I have been told by Lanarkshire Health Board that I may have to wait 16 weeks for an urgent scan!

I am extremely anxious about this. I am a welfare guardian for my disabled daughter, power of attorney for my elderly mother, I need to be well.

A 16 week wait for me could mean the difference between getting life saving treatment and it being too late!

I feel we have to do better than this, Lanarkshire.
