"This service has been wonderful"

About: Integrated Community Services Service Delivery Unit / Pershore and Upton Neighbourhood Team

(as the patient),

While out on a boating holiday, I developed an abscess.   After unsuccessful attempts to get rid of it myself, it was obvious that I needed medical attention.  With an abscess, which had a 5-inch diameter, the doctors sent me straight to A&E. The following day I had surgery to drain the abscess.

I was told that my dressing needed to be changed daily by a nurse.  So I contacted the Abbotswood surgery in Pershore. They saw me straight away.  They organised the community nurses to come out to my boat.  This service has been  wonderful.

Brilliant service.  Thank you.
