My son came into the children's assessment unit in early June to have a tonsillectomy.
I can't thank Fiona, Mavis and student nurse Caitlin enough for all their care and compassion they showed not only to my son but to myself and my husband during an anxious time. They all went above and beyond to put my son at ease pre and post op and they certainly put me at ease as I knew he was in safe hands.
I cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciated their support. As a nurse myself it's hard to let someone else care for your own but I can honestly say Fiona and Mavis are a credit to their profession. Very thorough and their years of knowledge and experience shown through that day.
Excellent nurses who deserve to be acknowledged for all their hard work. Student Caitlin is going to make a fantastic paediatrics nurse, she was amazing with our son. So much so he shared his colin the caterpillar cakes with her. That itself tells you how highly he thought of her. We will forever be grateful for the 3 of you.
Thanks so much.
