"What a fantastic service"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

Ailsa welcomed me to maternity triage. She was friendly, caring and professional. She made me feel safe and listened to and that both me and my baby were important. She couldn’t do enough for me.

I was expecting to be waiting a while to be seen as I know how busy maternity triage can be but I was seen quickly, offered refreshments and assessed within an hour: what a fantastic service: I’m so grateful

Dear Young Lady

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback following your recent experience of our maternity triage service.

I am delighted to hear that you were treated with such kindness and compassion and that the care you received really made you and your baby feel important. Our teams strive to ensure women feel this way at every care episode and I am delighted this rang true for you.

I will be certain to feedback your kind comments to Ailsa and please know this will be very welcome. All staff working within our department take great pride in the care they deliver and hearing the difference this can make to women and families is so important.

It is wonderful to hear that during your visit you were offered refreshments and supported in important comfort needs as these changes have been introduced following feedback from other women.

It will be a privilege to share your story with our teams and would like to thank you once again for taking time to provide such positive and kind feedback.

Best wishes,

Lee-Anne Abel

Senior Midwife
