I had a hysteroscopy in the Summer of 2022 as I had a fibroid. I saw my doctor privately, but they referred me to their local hospital at Chester le Street as they had brand new state of art equipment. It never crossed my mind I was a Guinea pig for it.
My doctor wasn’t in that day, there was a doctor who performed the procedure, and about four nurses. I don’t know how I managed to stand the pain, nobody asked me if it hurt, the doctor just kept digging away at my insides. I literally was frozen in pain.
In the end the doctor said there were two fibroids removed. Six months later the bleeding was as heavy as ever. My GP said wait a year. A year later I was bleeding daily. I had a hysterectomy six months later I’ve never looked back. This machine needs to be scrapped.
