"Appointments"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Rheumatology

(as a service user),

I did not receive notification about appointments, contacted dept. Was told different things at different times by different depts. Eg you dna- no I did not receive appointment.royal mail only communicate with the sender.

Put appt through again -now routine again. Despite symptoms increased +++ ,no acknowledgement that to wait another year which would = over 2 years wait.

Appointments do not have any routine priority yet that's term used.

Go to your GP - GP says you've been referred we can't do anything else.

Have contacted to ask why this is happening but feel that care opinion is useful as it is not just me in this position.

Other disciplines are waiting until you are seen by rheumatology as it could be all connected ,there's no point in them doing anything until this is ruled out.

So = no care at all

Meanwhile symptoms are increasing, impact on functionality is significant

Dear Elle2

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to share feedback on the difficulties you are experiencing whilst trying to schedule a rheumatology appointment.

I can appreciate that this must be very frustrating for you.

Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to look into specific concerns raised as Care Opinion is completely anonymous. However, I have passed your comments to the Advanced Rheumatology Clinical Nurse Specialist, who would like to look into this in more detail for you.

If that would be helpful, I would be most grateful if you could leave your contact details on their Helpline Number 01292 513316. I am advised that the best time to call is on a Monday between the hours of 9 to 11

Please accept my best wishes and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind regards

Pamela
