Forced into getting into £7ks worth of debt!
I have worked my whole adult life, paid my taxes and been an upstanding member of the UK community
I was in extreme pain with my teeth. My partner called a total of 15, yes 15 dental surgeries and they all advised they would not take any more NHS patients. However if I wanted to pay the private fee they would see me.
Due to the amount of pain and the amount of work I needed, I had no option but to let the dentist charge me private rate fees as I was (a) not pregnant (b) not classed as elderly and (c) not claiming benefits. I'm now in £7ks worth of debt for basic services due to the monopoly that has been created by the dental industry.
I pay my taxes, work every day and have been treated like a 2nd class citizen in the UK. I often wonder about the phrase "the working man is a sucker." I get no benefit from my taxes and NI contributions. I have private dental, private medical care and end up suffering financially. I would encourage any well formed response.
