"We would be lost without you"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

I called 999 as I had chest pain, high heart rate and was sweaty. The ambulance arrived quickly, and following an examination and ECG I  was taken to A&E at the Royal Infirmary. I was seen by the triage team, and taken through to be seen by the medical team. An ECG was done as were an X-ray and blood test. A doctor spoke to me following these tests, she explained that the blood test suggested that I may have had a heart attack. I was admitted to allow another test to be done. The next morning the cardiologist said that I had not suffered a heart attack, and I would be seen by another doctor later. I  was discharged that morning.

I cannot say enough in praise of all of the staff involved in my care, they kept me up to date with what was happening,  and were all very caring and professional in their approach to my needs.

Thank you all, we would be lost without you.
