I had an exercise tolerance test at the Respiratory Laboratory, UH Wishaw at the end of May, midday.
The male technician who initially looked after me (please forgive me forgetting his name) was so courteous and considerate, he explained everything so clearly and walked me through it all so professionally.
He was joined by a female technician called Lisa, who was also just as wonderful. I don’t think these two realise how much a professional, kind manner means to me as a nurse of almost 40 years with NHS Lanarkshire, and they have no idea how much they put me at ease.
I may not have shown it, but I was so nervous, my recent health issues have impacted me mentally as well as physically and I’m struggling with the challenges and changes I have had to make after taking good health for granted for years.
Please feel free to share my details and comments so the positive feedback gets to the right 2 people, and tell these two techs that they’re doing a fantastic job - as a fellow health professional, I can’t praise them enough.
Their care of me yesterday might just have been “routine” to them, but they made me feel like I was being so well looked after. Thank you, I appreciate you passing this on to them.
