I was recently a patient on Glossop ward following a fall . I was grateful for all the care the staff gave me although they are so busy .

One nurse Alison stood out. She was only on 1 day but she made me feel at ease and somehow she noticed the little things that made a difference. I was thrown into a world of loosing my independence and she just seemed to show such kindness and care. When all else failed she was there with the tea.

I did find it hard seeing all the staff on computers and phones although I know it is the modern way.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience on Glossop ward.

I am glad you had a positive experience with the nursing staff and you were made to feel at ease, we fully appreciate how difficult it must be letting go of your independence when you are admitted to hospital.

I very much hope you are recovering well from your recent admission.

Kind regards

Emma, Ward manager - Glossop ward
