"My admission to the NRC"

About: Barnet Hospital / Accident and emergency National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery - Queen Square / Neurosurgery Neurological Rehabilitation Centre / Inpatient Unit

(as the patient),

I work as a bus driver. In February 2024, I was driving, following my duty card, and I had to manually change the destination of the bus when I couldn't reach the panel with my left hand. I then realised I needed to use my right hand to open and change the destination.

I arrived to have lunch break, as I was coming out of the drivers seat my left side leg felt powerless. I had a 3 hour break and I was trying to go home, I managed to take a bus home and went into pharmacy to check my blood pressure.  The pharmacist told me that my blood pressure was little high.

I went to Barnet Hospital A&E and was admitted. I had CT scan and relevant tests, I was then told that I had 3 brain tumours. One tumour had a bleed which explained effect of my left side of my body. Barnet Hospital transferred me to Queen Square Hospital for an operation in March. After this, I was transferred to Edgware General NRC for treatment.

I was very happy with my treatment and all of the staff, everything was great.
