About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Xrays & Scans

(as a service user),

After my appointment for shoulder pain and getting a great outcome with that appointment I received a text message asking if I would attend an out of area hospital for my C.T. scan. Thinking that I would be getting an appointment soon, I heard nothing. I then call referral management to see where I was and was told there was a 50 week waiting list for a C.T. scan. I then asked if I could get a cancellation if any came up. The girl herself was very nice but why build up people's hopes to then be told there is a very long waiting list?

Dear Rosie Posie 58,

Thank you for your feedback today. I am very sorry you feel we are not being realistic with our communications and causing you false hope of a fast CT scan appointment.

We do get some help from the Golden Jubilee Hospital for CT scanning, and I would be keen to amend your record to reflect if you would be prepared to travel. This would undoubtedly allow you to have your CT scan much sooner.

To reassure you; the longest wait is what our admin team inform patients of, we would fully expect to see most of our patients long before this point.
