"Treated with respect and dignity"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

In early 2023, I received the news that my PSA levels were raised so that I needed to attend the urology department for further tests including a biopsy. My cancer was confirmed a couple of months later and later successfully treated in summer 2023 with a full prostatectomy.

What made a huge difference to me, was that throughout, even through these most intimate of procedures, I was treated with respect and dignity. In particular I should like to name Nurse Cath and Tracy for their thoughtful and sensitive care.
