Until a few years ago I was a healthy, happy, ambitious and very active person. I didn't need to see doctors often. My lifestyle was exemplary and it possibly have bought me some time before onset of autoimmune problems. I now have several long term health conditions, some of them diagnosed late, thanks to Cauldwell Medical Centre practice.

I have found it impossible to book any appointment, even when I'm prompted by text to book to discuss abnormal results - appt booked for 6 weeks later. OR ring in the morning (you are caller number 28 in the queue, and it stays 28 for 40 minutes - do the math - give up).

In my opinion the culture is awful - I am being brushed off by everyone but one receptionist and HCA doing my injections. I dont feel listened to and I feel no one wants to be put on the spot and feel any responsibility or empathy for how I am affected. I don't feel supported at all. My health deteriorated over 2 years but I'm still feel I am brushed off and treated as if I come to the surgery for pleasure.

Several wasted appointments, where no decisions were made and no actions taken. No wonder there's not enough appointments, if I come in just to hear, there is not enough time to discuss that, we can make a follow up appointment. Next appointment - within 5 minutes I was taken back to reception to be booked yet another appointment. This time in menopause clinic - why wasn't it done a year ago?

I feel like for GPs it's 5 minutes appointment time, tick boxes exercises, whilst for the patient it's life affecting and results in months of unnecessary suffering. I am a complex case (not by my choice!) and communication with hospital specialist and taking actions is crucial for safe management but I was told recently by one GP that they dont read clinic letters or summary of other conditions? It's our responsibility to tell the GP, if it matters.

When requesting tests no instructions given to patient on drugs, what not to do /take before the test, so often results are completely irrelevant - more money wasted.

Referral to gastro was delayed by a year as no one listened. Menopause still not managed correctly few years on. Other conditions ignored for at least a year as I feel no one wants to look at the whole picture. I can't even mention other symptoms during appointments as  apparently it's not related, and tell me to book another appointment, and obviously this is impossible.

I came out of two appointments recently in tears as it was like talking to the wall. I understand demands and time restraints but honestly, I come away feeling not listened to..
