"Our son visited the Children’s Ward DGH as an Outpatient for assessment"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Paediatric Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

Having never really spent much time in hospital our son was understandably nervous and apprehensive. All staff in the Children’s Ward were lovely and kind.  His experience couldn’t have been more positive.

A special shout out to Jamie (play leader), Idris and of course Barbara for their professionalism, care and kindness. Our son will hold fond memories of you all.

We only spent short periods on the ward however we felt sympathy for the staff working in such a hot environment. I’m sure patients and families must struggle with this too.

Dear Sals,

Thank you for sharing your kind feedback, I'm so glad the team put your son at ease and made an apprehensive time a little more positive. I'll share your post with all staff on the Children's Ward, and particularly with Jamie, Idris and Barbara.

Thank you for also being empathetic about the heat conditions during periods of hot weather. The Hospital Management Team are aware of the issue and are working to make the situation more bearable for staff, patients and visitors.

Kind regards,

Louise
