"You really have made such a difference to me"

About: Inverclyde Royal Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat Royal Alexandra Hospital / Day Surgery Unit

(as the patient),

I cannot thank the ENT department enough outpatients at inverclyde they have been brilliant with me being a nervous patient and not good with anything medical they have all made me feel at ease.

I was devastated to hear I needed an operation but was delighted to have Dr MccAndie as my Dr with all her knowledge and experience, I felt so much at ease. Special shoutout to Julie at Inverclyde hospital for holding my hand and giving me a cuddle while I was getting a blood test. Paul the anaesthetist at paisley RAH for making me feel at ease, I wouldn't have been as calm as I was being put to sleep without all your help and support.

To the day surgery ward at the RAH for allowing my mum to stay with me all day on the ward to help my nerves it really did make the world of difference to me.

To Dr MccAndie's secretary such a kind caring woman who phoned me with a cancellation as soon as 1 available after breaking down to her on the phone from being in pain and unable to hear in my ear it was getting me down so much.

I am looking forward to seeing Dr MccAndie for the packing out my ear and finding out how my ear is getting on.

I'm aware the operation might not be a success and if doesn't work or I need another operation I am more than happy for another operation knowing I'm in the best hands with a Dr who means the world to me.

Thank you to all the team at inverclyde and Paisley RAH you really have made such a difference to me and I'm slowly becoming less scared of anything medical.

Dear Eva1234

Thank you for sharing your experience with the ENT department at Inverclyde Royal Hospital and the Royal Alexandra Hospital. We are truly touched by your kind words and are grateful for the opportunity to acknowledge the exceptional care you received from our dedicated team.

We understand that being a nervous patient can add significant stress to medical procedures, and we are delighted to hear that our staff at Inverclyde Royal Hospital went above and beyond to make you feel at ease during your outpatient visits.

Dr McCandie's expertise and compassionate care, along with the support from Julie during your blood test and Paul, the anaesthetist at Paisley RAH, contributed to your sense of calmness and comfort throughout your journey.

It warms our hearts to hear that the day surgery ward at RAH accommodated your request for your mum to stay with you, providing invaluable support during your recovery.

Thank you for recognising the efforts of our staff at Inverclyde and Paisley RAH. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will ensure that your appreciation is shared with the entire team.

We wish you all the best for your upcoming appointment with Dr McCandie and your continued recovery.

Kind regards

Kevin

Your reply means the absolute world to me all I want is for you fantastic team to get some recognition I would be lost without them all. I cannot wait till the 20th of August to find out if the operation was a success. I honestly couldn't cope with hospitals without all my ENT team and if I ever need surgery again uck I need Paul to be by my side he was absolutely outstanding ❤️‍🩹
