"Fobbed off with numerous antibiotics"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

My GP diagnosed me with a pilonidal cyst that subsequently became infected and burst. Went to A and E on Sunday and was told my inflammation markers were up. My GP had already prescribed antibiotics at the beginning of the week and it exacerbated the symptoms. Saw surgical staff in SDEC who only looked at the scab and prescribed more antibiotics. I went for a follow up on Tuesday at SDEC as I was still in pain and didn't think antibiotics were working, to be prescribed a different type! Went home and was still experiencing pain and sickness. Went to Salford Royal today who have found there are likely more than one cyst and an MRI and surgery will be needed. I should have known when they lost my maternity notes and didn't book my antenatal appointments in not to trust them!!!
