"Incorrect information "

About: Chard Hospital

I visited chard hospital for a repeat blood test, to which the nurse told me I was HIV positive. I later found out this was incorrect after talking to my GP the following day and that she had just saw a read box next to the blood sample result assuming that meant positive, when in fact it was just inconclusive. This caused unnecessary stress and upset! Not happy.

I am very sorry to hear of your experience, it must have been extremely distressing.

Would you please be able to contact our PALS team on PALS@somersetft.nhs.uk to give further information so we can investigate this incident fully?

Kind Regards

Hannah Coleman
