After consultation with the consultant various options proposed we came up with a course of action and a date was set to replace the ICD generator and insert a new lead.
Dates and times confirmed with intention of bring a day case, incredible in and out in a day.
On the day the team were fabulous, from admission, preparation for surgery each stage explained to satisfy my autistic side of me, prepped for surgery and away we went.
A great team, hadn't realised how many folks were there looking after me, thank you.
Again each step was explained as we progressed and while I know it was a good couple of hours for the procedure, it really didn't feel like it at all.
A brief period in post op before going back to the ward to rest waiting a little while for anesthesia to ware off, get a chest x-ray and device tests.
All okay and discharged as planned, thank you FVRH Cardio Team really appreciate all you have done for me.
