From the minute I arrived to ED in Daisy Hill the staff were so welcoming. The ED deputy sister (I didn't get his name) and Dr Amanda were so compassionate & immediately provided me with assistance & treatment. The service was so quick even though the staff are under immense pressure. I take my hat off to them & can't even begin to explain how the support they gave me put me at ease.
I was then admitted to the Gynae Ward. From the minute I arrived on the ward the care was second to none. The staff went above & beyond the call of duty & I couldn't ask for anything more. Nothing was a bother to them.
I'd like to give a wee mention to Christeena, Deidre, Mel & Dinah - who are so passionate about their job roles & able to put patients at ease during difficult times.
I want to give a special mention to Roisin. She was so kind, caring and compassionate towards my situation & even took time out of her busy day to sit and chat to me on more than one shift & provide reassurance to me and answered any questions about the ins and the outs of my procedure. She is a very knowledgeable lady.
While our health care system is so under pressure it was so reassuring to feel that I wasn't just a number to Roisin - she really went above and beyond for me. Even taking me down to theatre when she had so many other things to do. Roisin is everything you could possibly ask for in a nurse. She is amazing. I was so glad to see when she was on duty.
A first class service & an excellent ward. These staff are a credit to the ward sister & really practice what nursing should be. Thank you so much for all your help. The fact the staff on the ward were so approachable it really made my stay more comfortable.
"Really went above and beyond for me"
