"Made the experience a lot less daunting"

About: Musgrave Park Hospital / Children's Orthopaedics and biologics Musgrave Park Hospital / Paediatric Ward (ward 2B)

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was recently admitted to the Children's Ward at Musgrave Park Hospital in Belfast.  She was a little nervous but the nurses quickly made her feel at ease.

The consultant, Mr Cosgrove, explained what he was going to do during the op, Patrick his Specialist Registrar had a chat with us and after the op they both individually let us know how it went.

Everyone we met on the ward were lovely and they all deserve praise - Heidi who booked her in, Lucia and Julie who looked after her all day, the girls in recovery, Kerri who brought her back up to the ward, Arlene and the physio and a few others doctors and nurses whose names I've forgotten all made the experience a lot less daunting.

Everyone reassured my daughter and made clear that we could ask them anything that we needed to. The toast was amazing!

This is the standard of care that we wish to provide for all of our patients and to ensure that all children and any patient/ client who may attend MPH are made to feel at ease upon their arrival and throughout their stay.
