"This was a 5 star service"

About: Community Services - North Devon / Urgent Community Response (UCR)

(as a service user),

I live rurally on a farm with my husband. I was out for the day and returned to find him on the floor having fallen on the way to the bathroom. He was unable to regain his feet, I was unable to get him up and was forced to dial 999.

I waited for hours for them to arrive but eventually a paramedic from the urgent community response team turned up with a fantastic machine that he assembled around my husband which got him off the floor quickly and safely

This was a 5 star service, I couldn't fault it or suggest anything to improve it, it couldn't be better.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Living rurally can certainly present unique challenges, especially in emergency situations. It's reassuring to hear that when you needed help, our urgent community response team came through with such efficiency and care, and it’s heartening to know that it made a significant difference. Your story highlights the vital role that emergency services play, especially in remote areas, and it’s wonderful to hear that you received such outstanding care.
