"You do an incredible job and I am very grateful to you all."

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter fell from a horse, hitting her head and sustained a seizure. Thankfully a friend was with her who cared for her and called 999.

A quick response from SAS colleagues. ScotSTAR also on scene. The care my daughter received was efficient, caring and thorough.

Meeting the ambulance at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, the ambulance crew were reassuring and kind. Seeing a familiar face smiling at me was so appreciated (I work in the NHS). Even checking in before they left - thank you so much. ScotSTAR medics - thank you.

Then the team in ED. The HCSW working in triage whilst we waited, thank you for your kind words and understanding.

Scott the first RN, taking observations. A fabulous consultant, Mr Foster. So detailed in his examination, communication and treatment.

The whole team were smiling, kind, understanding and professional. A really exceptional level of care.

My sincere thanks to everyone. You do an incredible job and I am very grateful to you all.

Dear Lika,

Thanks very much for getting in touch to say thanks for the care your daughter received recently following a fall from her horse.

I hope she is doing ok and she has fully recovered from both her fall and the subsequent seizure. It must have been so worrying.

It's great to hear the positive comments about our staff who attended on the Emergency and ScotSTAR side and the incredible job they did. All of the NHS staff who were involved in your daughters care will really appreciate reading your kind comments and knowing that your daughter is ok.

If you'd like us to pass your comments directly onto our staff, if you could send a quick note to sas.feedback@nhs.scot with the name, address, date and time of the call, we'll be able to match it to our staff who attended and get this note directly over to them.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience,

All the very best,

Mark

Dear Lika

Thank you for sharing your experience regarding your daughter's accident and the care she received from the team at the Royal Hospital for Children.

We are deeply touched by your kind words and grateful for the opportunity to acknowledge the exceptional care provided by our colleagues.

I was pleased to read the care and treatment your daughter received from our staff within the A&E Department was to a high standard and she felt well cared for throughout her stay.

I will be happy to pass on your thanks to the team who I'm sure will be touched to hear your kind words.

Kind regards
