Hip Replacement surgery at the National Treatment Centre, Kirkcaldy hospital
I came to the hospital feeling a little anxious about my operation as I live on my own and travelled from East Lothian, but these feelings disappeared immediately on meeting the amazing staff. Kerry, Susan, Shallan, Natalia, Olu, Lorraine, Morgan and Mandy, plus the cleaners and catering staff. I was made to feel at ease immediately and all of my paperwork was completed swiftly and professionally in a caring and friendly manner.
This professionalism continued and caring attitude throughout the day at my pre-op, during my operation and post op.
The staff in the ward at the NTC were and are exemplary in every aspect.
To answer a couple of questions:
What was good about the experience?
Everything.
What could be improved?
Their annual salary. Whatever they are getting paid, it isn’t enough.
