About: General Surgery / Elective Surgery (Ward 7 & 8) Perth Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a service user),

I was recently admitted for routine hip arthroscopy in ward 8 

The senior charge nurse was very nice and admitted me and the nurse Martha was very lovely after I came back from surgery as well as all the health cares and ward assistant I couldn’t fault them at all 

With being a nurse myself it’s different being on the other side and I couldn’t fault them for making me and my husband feel so relaxed and updated throughout the day 

The staff also in Perth theatre were incredible to Steph who was my anaesthetic nurse and Rachel my recovery nurse were brilliant and all the theatre team too put my nerves at ease, they made me feel relaxed and comfortable and very professional 

Also want to say thank you to Mr Nicol and his ST8 who done the surgery and helping me with my ongoing hip issues 

I’m recovering well at home and ward 8 and theatres are a credit to NHS Tayside
