"Immediately put at ease by the team"

About: North Hampshire Community Therapy Team

(as the patient),

NHS Alton Balance Class , 10 sessions

I was referred to local physiotherapist for assessment due to a balance problem. I have never attended a group session before, everyone had different physical problems and we were immediately put at ease by the team. The session was run in a highly professional manner with everyones' needs being attended to, and we were encouraged to develop.

I learnt how to handle my situation and the exercises made me stronger and more confident. At the end of the course we had a further assessment and given ideas for the future.

The course also covered practical situations re safety in the house and how to cope with falls. I certainly felt I had learnt a great deal and hopefully will be able to continue to get stronger and lead a fully life.

Thank you to Raj, the leader of the course and his two assistants who were also excellent in their supporting role.

I cannot think of any improvements, the class was named balance and falls prevention class, and in my opinion was correctly named.

Thank you so much for your feedback. It is great to hear you found the staff to be professional and that you benefitted so much from the class.

I will make sure that Raj and the team hear about your message.
