"Everyone was smiling"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Short Stay Unit

(as the patient),

I was admitted to the ward from A&E after several visits to another hospital. This was due to a kidney infection ongoing and a referal from bupa to attend A&E again. From the moment I entered the ward it was completely different from any other hospital setting I had been in. It was like stepping back in time to old fashion nursing. Everyone was smiling. I was attended to immediately and made feel comfortable and safe.

I was given exceptional care from every member I came across. Maureen, Angie, Justin, claire, Jenny, Lisa, cushy and Ross to name a few. I was treated with respect and care - something I had not got in previous weeks from another nhs hospital. Thanks to all for a fantastic experience. Couldn’t work out if I was in a hospital or a spa hotel! If this was trip advisor would be 5 stars from me!

Dear Aimee827,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of University Hospital Wishaw on Care Opinion.

I am sorry to hear that you have recently had several visits to the hospital. However, I am so pleased to hear that you experienced a great level of care and were made to feel safe throughout the duration of your visit. This is the level of care we strive for within NHS Lanarkshire. All of the staff within the ward will be delighted to hear your lovely comments.

I hope you are doing well.

Best Wishes,

Morgan
