(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

My wife sadly passed away on the 8th May. I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for the care & compassion shown by your team to my wife during the brief 3 months she was at home. It was a very difficult transition for us but your staff made it much easier. They were always bright and cheery and She looked forward to their visits particularly if she was needing to use the commode! Seriously, they were all brilliant with her and I think they enjoyed their visit to my wife as had a great spirit right and sense of humor until the end. There was a lot of laughter at visits which I know she appreciated.

Firstly, Thank you for sharing your experience with the Troon and Prestwick care at home team especially at this difficult time.

I am pleased your wife was able to remain at home for this period of time, I am glad both your wife and yourself felt care and compassion by the team. This can be an overwhelming time when going through a transition, as this is a major life changing event, I am pleased the staff were able to make this easier for you both with their bright and cheery attitudes.

I will be delighted to share your lovely feedback with the Troon and Prestwick team and I will also add this to the up-coming carers newsletter.

I hope when reminiscing you are able to think of the laughter you all shared.
