About: Chard Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

I got to MIU at 12pm for a chest infection. it is now 3pm. I am also 5 weeks pregnant so I am worried my constant coughing is going to hurt my baby. I asked when they going to see me as I have work at 14:30, they said 4 people in front of me. I’ve counted 8 have gone in and left. At this point I feel sick and stressed out

Dear Patient

I am sorry to read that you are/where feeling unwell and that you had to wait to be seen in the Minor Injuries Unit at Chard Hospital. I hope that you where finally seen in a timely manner and got to work on time. I also hope that the team managed to put your mind at rest.

I am sorry that you have had to wait, unfortunately Chard UTC is incredibly busy and patients may be prioritised depending on their condition. It may have been better for you to have called 111 who could have assessed you and reassured you.
