"Neurology follow up appointment"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Neurology

(as a service user),

I saw a doctor recently and when I saw them they asked me what I was there for! This is the second visit this has happened and I only felt taken seriously this time as I came straight from work with my NHS badge on so the doctor treated me differently and this shouldn’t be the case!

I always feel dismissed and no holistic view on my healthcare takes place. The doctor didn’t even write up my notes, just shut the computer down whilst I was still in the room and this doesn’t fill me with confidence.

The doctor mentioned they would refer me to a headache specialist, but no mention of this in my notes. I always feel deflated and let down but this shouldn’t be the case!

My notes should be read before I enter the room so they aware of my recent history and reason for going back to see them, as they called me back, this wasn’t my request. I hope others don’t feel as let down as I do.
