I had an awful birth and was left feeling really traumatised.
The person who made the biggest difference to me postpartum was a nurse who worked at night, called Amy. She helped me breastfeed, showed me how to extract colostrum, made funny jokes, gave me a sense of dignity again and was just an all round hero. I will never forget her!
