"I will have fond memories of my time here"

About: Cloughreagh House

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I knew nothing about Cloughreagh Hose before I came to it a few months ago and I immediately appreciated the peace and quiet in Cloughreagh after the business of the hospital.

The staff here have been very attentive to me, I have been treated with respect and I have been involved in decisions regarding my care.

My rehab journey has been lengthy and I thought for a while I wasn't going to get back on my feet but now the effort is paying off. The physio team have been very supportive and patient with me and they have helped me a lot with the exercises. I have been in the new therapy room/gym using the equipment there and I think that has helped me with my recovery.

I will continue with my exercises when I go home because I want to get stronger and more independent.

I like the new Information Pack and I think its a great idea to give this to people when they first arrive in Cloughreagh. It will explain to both them and their families what Cloughreagh is about.

I would like to thank all the staff here in Cloughreagh and I will have fond memories of my time here.

Thank you for sharing your experience while in Cloughreagh, you certainly did have a lengthy stay with us and your recovery journey has been slow and difficult. I am delighted that we have been a part of your journey and you are now ready to return to your own home.

It is good to hear your that you felt the therapy gym played a key role on getting you back on your feet with the help of our excellent team of physiotherapist and occupational therapists staff.

Yes we recently introduced the Information Pack and we are actively seeking feedback on what our Service Users think of it. If the feedback is positive we plan to share it with the staff in Craigavon and Daisy hill hospitals. From our experience we have many Service Users who do not know where they are coming into, therefore having this information when in hosptial will hopefully enable service users to make informed choices about their future care needs and reduce any anxieties they may have.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your story on Care Opinion and on behalf of all the staff in our service I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing Cloughreagh House to help you on your recovery journey. I will share your feedback with the team.

Best wishes for the future

Kind Regards
