"Professionalism, care and profound kindness"

I recently attended Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow, for a Transperineal Prostate Biopsy under local anaesthetic.

Naturally, I was slightly apprehensive about the procedure but from the minute I arrived at the Day Surgery Unit, I was put at ease by the staff and by the professionalism of all who looked after me.

I was cared for by the team under Mr James, who explained in detail before and during the procedure what they were going to do, what to expect, and how I was feeling at each stage of the op.

Mr James's sensitivity and sense of humour helped me relax and almost enjoy the experience. I know I must have been just one of many thousands Mr James will have treated over many years, but I was made to feel that the whole team and service was there just for me throughout my almost two hours in the unit.

So in summary, I'd just like to say a million thanks to Mr James and all his supporting staff for their professionalism, care and profound kindness towards me, and while I have been kept an eye on during the last few years.

Keep up the good work. You are all absolute gems and I appreciate all you do.
